Letter to the Editor: Where did our patriotism go?

The same place our manners went.

I had two flags on display which someone stole. I have been looking to replace them. I can find a flag made in the USA but not the flagpole, it is made in China.

I recently went in my backyard only to find a bag of dog poop that someone threw over my fence. I guess it was too heavy to carry to their own trash. Did I mention that I am 90?

Yes, I am old enough to remember World War II. Many brave young men and women fought and died to protect our freedome and democracy. My mother was a nurse and worked at Harbor General Hospital, a military hospital then. My father worked at Bethlemen Steel.

I hope I can find a flag and flagpole made in America.
