Letter to the Editor: Trump's incompetence

Dear Editor:

Donald Trump's statement that a part of his anatomy is bigger than Marco Rubio's is an imitation of what Abdala Bucaram, former President of Ecuador, used in his campaign to get elected president some 20 years ago.

Shortly after being elected president, Bucaram was declared mentally incompetent to govern by the Ecuadorean Congress and removed from office.

Trump's populist macho rhetoric has descended to the levels used by politicians of underdeveloped countries. It does not augur well for our democracy.

I hope that all presidential hopefuls come back to a more civilized discourse of the issues affecting the country and stop their personal attacks on each other.
