Letter to the Editor: There is no Planet B
Dear Editor:
Having lived on both the East and West coasts for my bachelors of science (Cal, Berkeley) and MAT Mathematics (University of South Florida), and having travelled as a student and teacher to Europe (Spain), Asia (Korea) and South America (Bolivia), climate change is very real.
The Earth has a fever, and a solution to the endless spewing of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere is something like Citizen Climate Lobby’s straightforward proposal which has recently been adopted by our Canadian neighbors to the north, carbon fee and dividend: the fees starts at $15/metric ton and rise at least $10 / metric ton annually (indexed to inflation); 100% of the net receipts are allocated evenly to households, with a fair and equivalent border adjustment.
