Letter to the Editor: The new 3 R's

Dear Editor:

We are the most powerful country in the world and yet as recent events in San Bernardino, Orlando and elsewhere prove we are losing the ideology war.

It is too easy for radical groups to influence our youth and get them to act in accordance with their nefarious purposes.

It is time to start a heavy duty ideological campaign with our youth starting in kindergarten and following through high school.

I propose we start teaching one hour per day the new 3 R's.

•Respect for human life
•Respect for all religions and non religious people
•Respect for all races

We must go back to our roots and emphasize our values and we should do it with all our young people starting immediately before they succumb to misguided ideologies.
