LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Roaming cats

Dear Editor: We have been living in Downey for the past 30-plus years and decided to upgrade our front and backyard. We spent close to $40,000 for a new lawn, flowers back and front, and a new driveway.

Now we find that people living in the area have cats that mess up our lawn and flowers, leaving their poop. We have spoken to them regarding this mess the pets are making but have no outcome.

We feel that you, as a pet owner, should know how to care for it and not destroy other people’s property.

I am sure the very same people would not like it if my grandson left his poop on their lawn or porch.

Please be considerate, cat lovers.
