Letter to the Editor: Proud of a clean campaign

Dear Editor:

I want to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everybody who put their faith in me during my campaign for Downey City Council, District 3.

To my hardworking volunteer team, I am inspired by your commitment and tireless effort from the very beginning. To my campaign donors, I am humbled that you not only put your trust in me, but your hard-earned money as well.

Most of all, I am extremely grateful to those Downey residents who took the time to vote for me – THANK YOU! I appreciate the time and effort you took to cast your ballot in my name. I am fully aware of the preciousness of each vote, and I am humbled that you saw fit to give it to me.

I would like to congratulate Ms. Dorothy Pemberton on her win. More than anything I want our great city of Downey to move forward, and I wish Ms. Pemberton all the best over the next 12 months of the council term.

I am so very proud that we ran a clean campaign. I will make sure that our team conducts itself with the same class and dignity when we run for the full 4-year term on the Downey City Council in 2024.
