Letter to the Editor: No new taxes

Dear Editor: 

Every election year we are asked to pay more and more taxes for this program and that program. 

The city of Downey and Los Angeles need to learn fiscal management and work with the billions of dollars that they already have. We are being taxed to levels that we can no longer afford. With inflation on the rise, we can barely afford housing, rent, food, and transportation. 

Please be diligent and read carefully when voting for any measure that requires the raising of your tax dollars. Just vote no.
