Letter to the Editor: No food trucks

Dear Editor:

On Sept. 12 we are to be entertained with music, and food from our local restaurants. If last year is any indication of the quality of the food offered, this year will be even more of a major disappointment.

The first food in the lineup, and the majority of food offered, was from food trucks. Where were the local restaurant's cuisine? Thank you Sunny's Sushi for being the one eatable choice for us. Please come back.

I ask that the planners, who failed us last year, will take the initiative to go out into the city and invite Downey restaurants of varying ethnic food choices to be a part of this annual event, so that we truly have an International Food Festival. No food trucks please.
