Letter to the Editor: Harassment on campus

Dear Editor: 

Thank you for hosting the school board candidates forum. I am not sure any candidate answered the question about students’ complaints on harassment properly. 

I believe the school boards should first protect our students; second provide the best education possible; third provide the administration with guidance. 

Any complaints should be heard objectively and referred to law enforcement for investigation. If Downey Police Department feels too close a tie to be objective, then refer it to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

The school board is not a proper investigating entity.
