Letter to the Editor: Gratitude to Janice Hahn

Dear Editor: 

I would like to express my gratitude to Janice Hahn and her fellow Board of Supervisors for taking the initiative to support a new county-wide program to provide tracking bracelets for people with Alzheimer’s and autism (as reported in the Patriot on 3/1/18). 

There are over 5 million Americans aged 65 and older with Alzheimer’s and that number is projected to double by 2040. 

It is always gratifying when our elected officials respond to critical needs in the community.
