Letter to the Editor: Exceptional service from Public Works

Dear Editor:

We would like to recognize a group of people that are often overlooked as being vital to our city.

The Downey Public Works/Water Department sent two employees to our home, Joel Navarro and Sebastian Castellon, to resolve a water issue problem. They came and found a quick solution to our problem with the help of their boss, Danny Sulas, who together did all the right things to help us out. Thanks for a job well done!

We are lucky to live in a city where the employees really care about the people they serve. Next time they come knocking at your door, we hope people will recognize their value and applaud them. We sure did.
