Letter to the Editor: Climate change is undeniable

Dear Editor:

This is in response to the letter titled “The Time to Fight Climate Change is Now” (1/16/19).

People write about this issue often coming from polar opposite ends of the spectrum. Either you have the information, you know what’s happening now, and what needs to be done or you still think it’s something that will happen to another country and never affect you. 

Sadly, climate change is too often treated like cancer: “As long as I don’t get it, it doesn’t affect me.” 

If there are adults who feel this way, I fear for your children because they emulate what you say and do. Climate change is happening now. It’s time.
