Letter to the Editor: Buy your pet an ID tag

Dear Editor:

Downey residents, if you love your dog, please make sure that he or she has a collar with a tag that has your phone number and address on it. You can also have your pet microchipped.

ID tags cost less than $10 and are available at Petco; it will save you from a world of heartbreak, because if someone finds your pet they can contact you immediately. All it takes is that one time when your pet never comes back.
