Letter to the Editor: Better grocery stores

Dear Editor:

Downey has been my home for the past 11 years. Back in 2003, my would-be groom and myself handpicked Downey to be our home and bought a condo. In 2008 we bought a house in the northwest area and we can't imagine living somewhere else.

But...Why, oh why, can Whittier have Sprouts and Trader Joe's and Downey cannot? Please bring in Sprouts and we will love Downey even more!
