Letter to the Editor: Appreciation for Roybal-Allard
Dear Editor:
With aging comes the difficult, recurring reminder that health is not something that can simply be taken for granted. This is a reminder I have received far too often in my older years.
Thankfully, though, there are high-quality, affordable health care coverage options for senior citizens like me who need health care the most. As a Medicare Advantage recipient, I feel confident in my health care even after all of the medical challenges I have faced.
In recent years, I have suffered from heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and cataracts. All these complications required surgeries and post-treatment care that I never could have afforded without my Medicare Advantage plan. I also have access to prescription medications that come with no out-of-pocket costs, and since the start of the pandemic, my plan has ensured the medications are delivered right to my door, giving me convenience and peace of mind. Thanks to Medicare Advantage I don’t have to worry about how I will afford the care I need, and I can get spend my retirement doing the things I love.
I want to thank Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard for supporting this program throughout her career and for ensuring that senior citizens have access to quality health care. Her constituents are very grateful for her lifetime of service.
