L.A. Fitness hosting Zumba fundraiser

DOWNEY - The L.A. Fitness on Firestone Boulevard in Downey is hosting a Zumba fitness fundraiser this Saturday to raise money for Lou Gehrig's Disease research.The event is from 3-4 p.m. Buy-in is $20 with all proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association's ALS research initiative. ALS is a progressive motor neuron disease that causes complete paralysis. Approximately 5,600 people are diagnosed with ALS each year. After diagnosis, people typically survive 3-5 years.
