Kyle Jaxon Cooper
August 17, 1989 - April 3, 2022
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, Kyle Jaxon Cooper, a loving son, partner, father and stepbrother, passed at the age of 32. He was surrounded by his mother, father and partner, Jennifer.
Kyle was born on August 17, 1989, in Long Beach, CA. He grew up in Downey and made many lifelong friends. He was athletic and participated in many sports through Little League, YMCA and DJAA. He was a graduate of Columbus High School Class of 2007. After high school Kyle moved to Houston, Texas, where he attended the Universal Technical Institute “UTI” and graduated the Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology program in the Class of 2010. Kyle worked with some of the top collision repair shops in southern California and steadily moved up from Painter’s Helper to Estimator, then to Production Manager, and finally Manager.
Kyle was very intelligent, charming and kind. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. He was gifted artistically and loved Street Art. He was a devoted friend to all who knew him. Kyle loved the beach, the Colorado River, boating and fishing. Kyle also enjoyed making things with his hands and tinkering in his garage. Most of all Kyle loved his friends and family, especially his children, who were the center of his life. They were his pride and joy, and he loved them with all his heart.
Kyle leaves behind his partner Jennifer, his children Jaxon (5) and Mila (2), his parents Kathy and Richard, and stepbrother Richie.
A Celebration of Kyle’s life will be held on May 14 from 2pm-4pm at the Downey First Christian Church, located at 10909 New St., Downey, CA 90241.
