Kirkwood earns full accreditation

DOWNEY – Kirkwood Christian Schools has announced that it has been awarded full accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges for grades Pre-K through fifth. The committee’s report praised Kirkwood for its “dedication of all staff to the development of positive relationships with students and families and the implementation of an instructional program that supports student learning.”

The school was also lauded for the “development of a school culture where students are able to flourish, teachers are invested and passionate with highexpectations and support for the students, and where all stakeholders are valued.”

Finally, the report commended “the commitment and involvement of the parents in the school and its programs and their view that the school is an extension of the home [and] the family.”
