Kenneth Miller was civil engineer
DOWNEY - Kenneth Frankin Miller passed away Sept. 8 at his home in Maple Valley, Wash. He was a resident of Downey for 42 years before moving to Washington in 1999.Miller was born June 18, 1927 in Bell and grew up in Huntington Park, graduating from high school there in 1945. After serving in the Army, he graduated from USC and worked as a civil engineer at Ameron. He retired in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances; son, Wesley (Julie); daughter, Karen (Tom) Ruckman; six grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Hendrix; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Downey.
