Julie Foudy

Julie Foudy, a longtime captain and 18-year veteran of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and now an analyst for ESPN, set out to conduct interviews with kids recently to capture their reactions to Manny Ramirez's drug suspension from baseball. Foudy interviewed Downey resident and Gauldin Elementary student David Beltran at Thompson Park. During the interview Beltran explained his goal of becoming a professional baseball player and outlined the six pillars of character that are taught in all schools throughout Downey.
