Jewish National Fund rep to speak

DOWNEY - Alyse Golden Berkley, spokesperson and representative for the Jewish National Fund, will be the guest speaker at Thursday's meeting of the Ezra Center for Mature Adults.The JNF was created in 1901 and incorporated in the U.S. in 1926 to support development in Israel. Today, the organization mainly focuses on ecology, water conservation, tourism, and education. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. at Temple Ner Tamid of Downey, 10629 Lakewood Blvd. A catered kosher lunch will be served after the program.
