Jess Fernandez passes away at age 74

Jess Jerome Fernandez passed away Feb. 4 at the age of 74.

He was born in Los Angeles County and lived in Downey for more than 60 years. When he was of retirement age, he moved to the Sacramento area with his wife, Norma, so that they could be closer to their grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma; his brother, Ron; daughter, Desiree; son, Jess “Larry”; nieces, Katie and Jacquie; grandsons, Josh and Bobby. 

A memorial Mass will be held for Jess on Monday, March 27, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
