Jeri Osborn succumbs to cancer

DOWNEY - Jeri L. Osborn, a resident of Downey for the last decade, died July 11. She was 49.Born in 1961 to Ray Paul Osborn and Georgia Mae (Dufton) Osborn, she had been fighting cancer since she was first diagnosed in July of 2010. She was under hospice care at her sister's Garden Grove residence when she passed away. She spent her childhood in Lynwood and lived several years in Long Beach before coming to Downey. A single mother, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, animals and socializing online in the YoVille community. She is survived by her children, Felix, Evan, Jake, Emily and Elijah; and three siblings. No services were held at her request.
