LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Guerra’s position

Dear Editor: Please tell me there was a misprint in the Patriot’s reporting of Mr. Mario Guerra’s debate where it mentioned they are both for the Affordable Care Act.

Hold everything! The same law that businesses of all sizes are frightened of. The same law that is resulting in hundreds of thousands of jobs being reduced to 29 hours to avoid this new monstrous regulation. The same law that has caused businesses to lay off employees. The same law that increased, as high as two-fold, our premiums.

Obamacare has been the most damaging law to pass in my lifetime. You do realize that not one Republican voted for it.

I’ve read that Mr. Guerra is the pro-business, pro-growth candidate. I know that he is a business owner who is against big government. How is it then that he is for Obamacare? Do you see the hypocrisy?

My fear is that Mr. Guerra is pandering to the mostly Hispanic vote. It has never made sense to me that Hispanics continue to vote overwhelmingly Democrat anyway. If he is truly a conservative, Mr. Guerra owes it to our party to tell his constituents the truth about Obamacare.

Because I vote Republican 99 percent of the time, I will vote for Guerra. I do think he will win. However, I urge all conservatives to hold Mr. Guerra’s feet to the fire.

I’m afraid to ask how he feels about minimum wage!
