Golf tourney taking sign-ups

DOWNEY - The fifth annual Elizabeth Miller Memorial Golf Tournament takes place Aug. 17 at the Rio Hondo Golf Club, with proceeds benefiting the Ovarian Cancer Orange County Alliance for ovarian cancer awareness.The event is open to men and women and will be held in a four-person scramble format. Thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded in a variety of contests. Cost is $150 for golf and dinner, or $30 for dinner only. The tournament is limited to 144 golfers.
