GoFundMe page for Esther Kim

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Esther Kim, a 23-year-old Downey native who is currently hospitalized after suffering a stroke. Kim attended middle school and high school in Downey before moving to Henderson, Nev., as a pharmacy student.

“[One] month before she was scheduled to start rotations, Esther suffered a stroke and is now in the hospital in critical condition,” the GoFundMe page states. “Please help us raise money to help Esther’s family with the hospital costs. Her family is also asking for prayers while she recovers.

“Currently Esther is still in the hospital in critical care. She is receiving minimal amounts visitors at this time to allow her to rest and recover as quickly as possible.”
