Gerald F. Higginbotham

Bellflower – Gerald F. Higginbotham, “Jerry” 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11th, 2020 at his home in Bellflower.
Jerry was predeceased by his wife and best friend Jo Ann in 2016. He is survived by his son Douglas and his wife Kathleen of Charlton, Massachusetts, his two grandsons, Garrett Higginbotham of Seal Beach, California, and Wyatt Higginbotham of Charlton, Massachusetts.
Jerry was born in Los Angeles, CA, on April 18th, 1938 and lived his entire life in California. He married his best friend JoAnn on December 10th, 1961 and never left her side for over 55 years. He was a faithful and longtime active member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Downey, where he spent a great deal of time volunteering to help others.
Due to current world events there are no services planned at this time. Jerry will be laid to rest next to JoAnn at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA.
