Gabriel Enamorado is featured speaker for historical society
DOWNEY — Gabriel Enamorado, executive director of Stay Gallery, will be the featured speaker at the Downey Historical Society’s meeting on Thursday, Jan. 23.
The presentation starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Barbara J. Riley Center.
Enamorado was raised in Downey and is a lifelong purveyor of the arts, design and technology. Stemming from a background in painting, illustration and graffiti, his professional career spans over 15 years as a photographer, graphic designer, writer and web developer.
In 2012, he co-founded Stay Gallery where, as creative director, he established the nonprofit’s brand presence, lead the design of the space, and oversaw exhibitions, workshops and events.
Beginning in 2014, he led the development of the new brand identity for the City of Downey, Downey Unified School District, and Downey Patriot.
In 2016, Enamorado left Stay Gallery to pursue his career as a photographer and designer. He created Estevan Studio, a forward-thinking creative studio that offers brand consulting, graphic design, photography, copyrighting and website development for individuals, businesses and organizations.
In February of 2019, he returned to Stay Gallery as executive director. He is responsible for steering the mission and vision of Stay, building relationships with local artists and community partners, and developing the organization’s visual communication through digital and print channels.
