Funeral scheduled for Juanita Suarez

DOWNEY - Juanita Suarez, a 39-year resident of Downey, died June 28 in Downey. She was 89.She was born in Anaheim and enjoyed the Dodgers, gambling and traveling. She is survived by her sister and brother, five children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A viewing will take place July 5 from 5-8 p.m., with the vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. at Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel. The funeral Mass will take place July 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.
