Friends of John Zander holding fundraiser to buy him a scooter

DOWNEY — Friends of Downey resident John Zander are planning a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to buy him a mobility scooter.

Zander, a photographer, magician and jewelry maker, has had health issues that limited his mobility.

The fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at So Cal Pizza in Norwalk.

Cost is $6 plus a drink purchase. So Cal Pizza is donating the food.
