Free prom gowns for teens

Local high school students who need help with their prom outfits are invited to a "Glamour Gown" event April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Assistance League's chapter house at 7749 Florence Ave.Teens can receive free gowns and accessories for prom. The program is administered by the Assisteens, a teen auxiliary of the Assistance League of Downey. The group is also accepting donations of gently-worn dresses, shoes and handbags.
