Free food and groceries will be given away Friday

DOWNEY — Families in need of food are invited to pick-up free groceries at a giveaway event Friday in Downey.

The food distribution will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at L.A. County Library Headquarters, 7400 E. Imperial Highway.

The event is sponsored by L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn, the City of Downey, L.A. County Library, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
