Food, music festival returning to Downtown Downey

U2 tribute band L.A.vation will perform at Downey’s International Food & Music Festival on Sept. 10.

DOWNEY – Downey's popular International Food & Music Festival is returning to Downtown Downey on Saturday, Sept. 10, officials announced. 

The free, family-friendly festival runs from 4-10 pm and features six live bands performing across two stages. 

Scheduled to perform are Celtic rock band Angry Brians; rock group Akrasia; U2 cover band L.A.vation the U2 Experience; Jenny Rivera tribute band Joyas Prestadas; Cuban music band SitaraSon; and R&B reggae singer Irie Love. 

There will also be food booths, a craft beer and wine garden, festival attractions, face painters, henna artists, a live DJ, caricature artists, photo booth, and more.
