Female power groups En Vogue, Exposé performing in Cerritos
CERRITOS – Tickets are now on sale to see female forces En Vogue and Exposé in concert Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
En Vogue burst onto the music charts with its debut R&B single “Hold On,” which won a Billboard Music Award in 1990. The group continued to put out hits, including “Never Gonna Get It” and “Whatta Man.”
The group has sold more than 20 million albums. They’ve been nominated for seven Grammy Awards and have won Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Soul Train Music Awards and American Music Awards.
In the late 1980s, when rock dominated the charts, Exposé brought dance music into the spotlight with the hits “Seasons Change” and “Let Me Be the One.” They became the first girl group since the Supremes to land seven back-to-back Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart.
