Evelyn Busch dies at 96

DOWNEY – Two months shy of her 97th birthday, Evelyn Busch passed away peacefully Oct. 20 at PIH Downey with her daughter at her side. Evelyn and her husband moved to California from Chicago in 1943. After two years in South Gate, they bought a home in Downey where they raised three children and spent the rest of their lives together.

Evelyn was preceded in death by Edward, her husband of 55 years; children, Dennis (Susan) Busch, Sheryl (Michael) Hansen and Cynthia (Richard) Muller; grandsons, Brandon (Denise) and Daniel Busch, Justin and Christopher Muller, Nicholas (Linse), and Zachary Hansen; great-great grandchildren, Alex Busch and Hailey Joy Hansen; her brother, Edward Mix; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Oct. 25 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with interment at All Souls Cemetery.
