English-as-a-Second Language graduates

English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) morning students happily sit for a photo after graduating from the ESL Program on April 2 in the Harriet Paine Event Center on the campus of Downey Adult School. Walking across the stage to receive their certificates, the school administration and audience of family and friends cheered as school administrators congratulated the students on their completion of the program.

Guest speaker and former Adult School graduate (ESL, GED, and Medical Assistant) Cinthya Portillo praised the preparation, training, and support she received at the Adult School, then spoke of her current enrollment as a sonography student at a local college.
