Edmon Thomas Beyrooty

Our community sadly lost loved and respected resident Edmon Thomas Beyrooty this month at the age of 94. Edmon was born to Gabriel and Mary Beyrooty in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania in 1927. After serving in the United States Navy, he followed his family to Los Angeles where he settled and resided for the remainder of his life. Edmon worked at various dry cleaners in the area until he eventually owned his own shops, most recently Star Cleaners in Bell and Rose Cleaners in Downey before retiring in 2008. Edmon’s kindness, generosity and humor were evident to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of calling him a loved one and friend.

Edmon is survived by his wife Helen, children Annette, Denise, Edmon Jr., Thomas, Sean and Susan, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at Rose Hills Whittier Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 26 at 1 p.m.
