DUI, driver's license checkpoint Friday night
DOWNEY – Downey Police will conduct a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint Friday night, Jan. 27, at an undisclosed location in Downey, starting at 8 p.m.
There have been 461 alcohol-related vehicle collisions in Downey in the past three years, police officials said, resulting in two deaths and 119 injuries.
Police did not announce the location of Friday’s checkpoint, but officers will be looking for signs of drug or alcohol impairment, while also checking for proper licensing.
