Downey residents start classes at Biola University

LA MIRADA – More than a dozen Downey residents were among the incoming students starting the fall semester at Biola University in La Mirada.

The Downey students included:

  • Joshua Berumen majoring in Healthcare Management

  • Arianna Cardenas majoring in Healthcare Management

  • Ivan Casas majoring in History

  • Giovanni Cruz majoring in Bible, Theology, and Ministry

  • Priscilla Gomez majoring in Early Childhood

  • Alejandra Gonzalez majoring in Accounting

  • John Kim of Downey majoring in Psychology

  • Sohee Kim of Downey majoring in Healthcare Management

  • Nathan Labrin majoring in Accounting

  • Victor Lopez majoring in Sociology

  • Cynthia Ramos majoring in Healthcare Management

  • Moriah Rodriguez majoring in Early Childhood

  • Leilani Salgado majoring in Sociology

  • Rebecca Zepeda majoring in Sociology

More than 1,650 undergraduate and graduate students started their journey at Biola for their first day of classes on Sept. 3.
