Downey Realtors endorse Eric Pierce for City Council
DOWNEY — The Greater Downey Association of Realtors (DAOR) has endorsed Eric Pierce for Downey City Council - District 3.
The association, which represents more than 3,200 real estate agents in Downey and surrounding areas, endorsed Pierce after conducting candidate interviews earlier this month.
“As a member of the Downey Association of Realtors for many years, I am honored and proud to receive their endorsement,” said Pierce. “Realtors contribute so much to our local economy, and our Downey realtors work hard to keep our neighborhoods clean and safe.”
Pierce, former president of Gangs Out of Downey and Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis, is seeking to replace Councilman Rick Rodriguez, who opted not to run for re-election.
Rodriguez has endorsed Pierce, as has Mayor Blanca Pacheco, Mayor Pro Tem Claudia Frometa, and Councilman Alex Saab.
“My passion to serve has not diminished but it's time that I put my health first, for the sake of my family,” said Rodriguez. “We need to keep the progress going in Downey. And that's why I'm proud to endorse Eric to replace me on the City Council.
“Eric is the only man for the job. He is honest, ethical, hardworking, and has a history of leadership in the Downey community.”
