DOWNEY – Downey mayor Claudia M. Frometa has been elected to the California Contract Cities Association’s executive board, chairing the membership committee.

Frometa was installed at the CCCA’s municipal seminar May 20 in Indian Wells.

Beverly Hills mayor Dr. Julian Gold was sworn in as the group’s 2023-24 president during the annual gathering of nearly 500 local elected officials and city leaders.

Norwalk councilmember Jennifer Perez and Paramount councilmember Brenda Olmos were sworn-in as vice president and secretary/treasurer respectively.

During his first remarks, Gold outlined his goals for the upcoming year.

“We will continue to collaborate and come together for the betterment of all our member cities,” he said.

The CCCA represents 80 cities throughout Southern California and works to advance the benefits of the contracting model and strengthen local control.
