Downey home prices climb 8% from last year

The average sales price of a Downey home in February 2017 was $537,229, up 8% from February 2016, according to data released this week by the Downey Association of Realtors.

February saw 47 new listings in Downey, down 4% from a year ago. 

There were, however, 34 closed sales, which is up 3% from last year. 

There is currently an inventory of 112 Downey homes for sale. Year to date, 61 homes averaging a selling price of $569,952 have sold in Downey.
