Friday, December 15:
At 12:00 p.m., officers located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Ralph's Grocery (8626 Firestone Boulevard). The driver was arrested for grand theft auto.
At 3:30 p.m., a male suspect entered the Metro PCS Store (10033 Paramount Boulevard). The suspect threatened to kill the saleswoman if she did not give him the cell phone. Officers detained the suspect and arrested him for robbery.
Officers conducted a DUI/CDL checkpoint on Lakewood Boulevard at Florence Avenue, which resulted in numerous citations being issued for a variety of violations. One driver was arrested for drunk driving.
Saturday, December 16:
At 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a silent burglar alarm at Beauty Creations (12020 Woodruff Avenue). Officers discovered a male suspect loading a U-Haul truck with merchandise from the location. They also discovered the loading dock roll-up door had been forced open. The suspect was arrested for burglary.
At 10:35 a.m., officers discovered a stolen vehicle in the Walmart parking lot (9001 Apollo Way). The driver was arrested for grand theft auto.
At 12:45 p.m., officers located a male suspect inside the vacant commercial building in the 12100 block of Bellflower Boulevard. Two suspects fled upon officers’ arrival and officers also discovered a stolen vehicle at the location. The suspect was arrested for burglary.
Sunday, December 17:
At 5:15 a.m., a male suspect fired a handgun at a male victim in the 12300 block of Dunrobin Avenue. Nobody was struck and the suspect was located by officers. The suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
