Domen earns special designation

DOWNEY - Susan Domen, deputy city clerk for the City of Downey, has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk.To earn the designation, a municipal clerk must attend extensive education programs and possess pertinent experience. The program prepares participants "to meet the challenges of the complex role of the municipal clerks by providing them with quality education in partnership with 47 institutions of higher learning," according to a news release. Domen is also president of the Downey Rose Float Association.
