Dennis “Denny” Heintzelman

Dennis “Denny” Heintzelman a lifetime resident of Downey, CA, died May 28, 2020. Denny, 74, was driving his 1936 Woody when he died in a car accident a few miles from home.
Denny was born on March 31, 1946, in Long Beach, CA, to Margaret and Herb Heintzelman. He graduated from Warren High School in 1964 and joined the Army Reserve. He served his country for two years. Denny’s career began with McDonnell Douglas then The Boeing Company. During that time Denny attended the University of Redlands and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Denny retired from Boeing in 2005 with 40 years of service. Over the years Denny loved baseball, bowling, and drag racing his 1955 Chevy at Lyons Drag Strip. Denny loved his Classic Cars, a 1936 Ford Woody and 1956 Ford Thunderbird. He attended many car shows and was a member of the Earlybirds of Southern CA.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Herb Heintzelman, brother Douglas, and sister Susan.
Denny is survived by his high school sweetheart wife, Mary Kathleen Perkins Heintzelman of 53 years, and daughter Sherry Christine Heintzelman of Downey.
