Date set for ninth annual State of the Schools breakfast

DOWNEY – Reservations are now being accepted for the Downey Unified School District’s ninth annual State of the Schools breakfast, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, at 7 am.

Guests will enjoy breakfast prepared by Warren High School’s Culinary Arts students while listening to keynote speakers share the distridct’s achievements and strategic direction.

The event will also enlighten guests about the major programs being implemented throughout the district, while serving as an opportunity to interact with students, school board members, and district staff.

Individual tickets are $35 . Tables of eight and sponsorships are also available, with proceeds benefitting the TLC Family Resource Center.

Last year’s State of the Schools was a sold-out event, with 300 guests in attendance.
