Daniel Hamilton, 88, passes away

DOWNEY - Daniel P. Hamilton, a longtime resident of Downey since 1950, passed away Jan. 23.He was born in Texas and served in the Army during World War II. He came to California and met Mary, his wife of 60 years, who preceded him in death in 2007. He worked for Firestone tire company for 35 years. He is survived by his son, Daniel Hamilton, and his wife, Jolene; one sister in Texas; and one grandson. A viewing will take place Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Feb. 5 at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Cypress.
