Dale Wesley Rose

November 18, 1933 to October 20, 2015

Dale Rose 81 passed away on Tuesday, October 20th in La Mirada, CA after a lengthy illness. Dale was born in Madera, CA and moved to Turlock, CA  at the age of 6. After graduating from Turlock High School he then entered the U.S. Air Force. After the service he went to work on his parents dairy while attending college. He worked as a poultry inspector for the government and eventually relocated to the LA area in 1959. Several years later he went to work for the Lynwood/Long Beach Water Department where he retired after 35 years. Dale was a member of St. Raymond's Parish and belonged to the local Hunting and Fishing club. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Alice of Downey, daughter Karen Rose (Kent) Jung of Downey and two grandchildren Jonathan and Katy Jung. His brother Bert Rose of Redwood City, CA and niece Nancy Buchanan of Los Banos, CA in addition to many relatives and friends. Dale was proceeded in death by his parents Joe and Glenna Rose and sister Lola Fransen of Turlock, CA. Visitation and Rosary will be held Monday, October 26th at 4:00pm with Rosary at 7:15pm at Miller-Mies Downey Mortuary. Funeral Mass and burial will be held in Turlock, CA.
