Crime Report: 7/26/21
On July 13 at 2:10 pm, officers responded to Dolan Ave and Gardendale St, to a call of a suspect with a firearm. The investigation revealed the victims were involved in a traffic collision in the City of Lynwood. The suspect vehicle fled the scene. The victims followed the vehicle to the 8300 block of Gardendale Street. An acquaintance of the hit and run driver exited the apartment complex and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the victims. Officers arrived on scene and no one was injured. A loaded handgun was recovered and the adult male suspect was arrested.
On July 13 at 11:05 pm, officers responded to a call of a robbery with a firearm at the Chevron gas station, 11856 Old River School Rd. The adult male suspect entered the location, pointed the firearm at the clerk, and demanded money from the register. The suspect fled the location prior to officer arrival. The detective bureau is handling the investigation.
On July 13 at 11:35 pm, officers responded to a domestic dispute on the 11700 block of Morning Ave. The suspect and adult male threatened to kill his adult sibling and brandished a knife during an argument. The suspect fled the location to an unknown destination. The detective bureau conducted the follow up investigation and the suspect was located and arrested.
On July 14 at 9:10 am, officers responded to the 12928 block of Lakewood Blvd. in regards to a suspect intentionally striking another motorist with a vehicle. The investigation determined the suspect was the ex-boyfriend of the victim. Gang detectives are currently handling the investigation.
