Crime Report: 7/19/21
On July 6 at 1:05 pm, officers responded to Apollo Park, 12540 Rives Avenue, to investigate a sexual battery. An adult female victim was walking at the park when an adult male suspect grabbed the victim's buttocks. Officers located the suspect, who fled on foot and was ultimately detained at an adjacent business. The suspect was arrested.
On July 9 at 2:25 pm, officers investigated an assault with a vehicle at 9110 Imperial Hwy (Carl’s Jr). The adult female victim was in the drive-thru of Carl's Jr. when the suspect, her ex-boyfriend, entered the drive-thru from the exit trapping the victim in the drive-thru. The victim was able to exit the drive thru and left. The suspect followed and intentionally side-swiped the victim's vehicle then fled the scene. The victim was not injured and detectives are currently investigating the case.
On July 9 at 5:15 pm, officers responded to the 9200 block of Paramount Blvd. in regards to an armed robbery in progress. Two suspects armed with a firearm contacted the victim and ordered him to the alley at gunpoint. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and fled in an awaiting vehicle. A short time later, Bell PD located the suspect vehicle in their city. The firearm used and the victim’s cell phone were both recovered in the suspect vehicle. Both suspects were arrested.
On July 11 at 6 pm, officers responded to 9706 Telegraph (Arco Gas Station), in regards to a carjacking. The suspect approached the victims as they were fueling their vehicle. The suspect brandished a large kitchen knife and held it at the victim’s chest as he demanded the car keys. The victims relinquished the vehicle in fear for their lives. The suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department located the victim's vehicle in their jurisdiction. After a brief pursuit with the Sheriff’s Department, the adult male suspect was detained and arrested.
